I was extremely eager to get back into the groove of working on a new release when the COVID19 pandemic came about, forcing my practice space to close down and not allowing me to work faithfully on what I had started. I decided to pull two pieces, one improvised and one completely structured, from the back catalog and release it in the mean time. This isn't to say I just wanted to release something for the sake of it. Tremendous energy was spent on recording these in their own ways.

Cancel was an improvised set from either early 2019 or mid-to-late 2018. I'm not sure when exactly. It touches upon sonic territory I was feeling comfortable in (ambient guitar, noise guitar, simple loops) and some territory I was coming into (manipulated loops, spatial sound design). I'm glad I decided to sit down and record an improvised set. I hope to do more of these kinds of sets in the future.

84 No WRATH, RECKONING was built upon a foundation that most songs in the 20th century canon are built on: heartbreak. My interpretation of heartbreak music. It is one of my most favorite pieces that I ever wrote. Written in summer of 2018.
